About Me
just before the world went topsy turvy, by a series of happy accidents, and haven't looked back.
Began painting in 2019,
as a hobby to get out of the apartment.
Blind art classes reignited
the passion for creating art I had as a child.
Loved art as a child
but was never allowed to pursue it outside of school.
In 2023, I wanted to offer something unique
not just art, but also awareness and breaking misconceptions about blindness.
Carol Vickers
I create art and write non fiction, and challenge what people think about blindness, all inspired by my own journey.
As Tihiya Noor
a name taken from my Tuareg heritage. I write fiction stories born from imagination.
So Carol's Blind Artist Studio was born.

Mission
Here to awaken your senses and spark your imagination, showing that blindness doesn't limit creativity, it reshapes it.
Values
I value flexibilty and breaking art's boundaries. Blindness is personal, so why limit how we see the world?
Vision
I envision a world where blindness isn't a limitation, it's a superpower. A place that celebrates strength, creativity & fresh perspectives, where everyone get the chance to shine.

Artistic Influences
Robert Batemean
his realistic landscapes inspired awe & became a guiding light in my art journey.
Nature
growing up, camping, fishing and exploring the woods instilled a lasting sense of peace. Trees in my work symbolize solace and continuity.
My Vision
as my eyesight diminishes, landscapesw become my way to capture the world as I see it, blurred, foggy and with just enough detail to tell the story.
Purpose
through my art, I invite others to experience the serenity, wonder & ever changing beauty of the natural world.
Heritage
now in 2025, I see that my art has always contained glimpses of my heritage, even before I knew it.

Artist Statement
Since picking up a paintbrush in 2019, I've been on a journey of discovery, learning techniques, finding my voice and developing a style that's unapologetically mine. What began as a hobby quickly became a full fledged creative business in 2020, and I haven't looked back.
Five years later in 2025, I've realized that my art has always held glimpses of my heritage long before I even found what my heritage was. A quiet thread connecting the past & present in every piece.
Today I focus my energy on my moody landscapes, vibrant acrylic pours and bold uplifting quotes, all inviting viewers to feel art not just see it. As a blind artist, I create to show that you don't need sight to experience creativity, you just need to feel it.
