My Heritage
My heritage blends Tuareg & Bedouin roots, cultures shaped by endurance, storytelling & spirit. The Tuareg side of me gives voice to emotion and artistry, while the Bedouin side grounds me in adaptibility and strength.
That legacy lives in everything I create, the rhythm in my brushstrokes, and the honesty in my non-fiction writing.
Under my pen name Tihiya Noor, I write fiction inspired by imagination. This name I borrowed from my Tuareg heritage and means "Light in the Desert".
My debut novels of non-fiction & fiction arrive in 2026.
How I Create
I paint through touch, emotion & intuition. I write from memory, feeling and rhythm and when I write my fiction stories they're strictly from my imagination.
Vision loss from Retinitis Pigmentosa changed how I see - not who I am. My world is built on contrast, texture & light that lives beyond sight.
How I See & Create
I paint through touch, intuition and a little high tech wizardry. From magnifying screens to special eyewear & creative lighting, I find ways to bring details to life. Vision in my studio is an adventure, each brushstroke & color twist is a playful reminder that creativity knows no limits and that the only real boundaries are the ones we set ourselves.
